Workshop 2: Preparing custom 3D assets for UE5

This intermediate workshop explores how to bring your own 3D models to the Unreal Engine and how to set up materials within the Unreal Engine shader editor. The session covers hero assets; preparing a game ready object in Blender; creating custom materials; and optimising game assets.
Pre-requisites:
Participants must have pre-installed and tested the Unreal Engine on their machines in advance of the session.
3D modelling software Blender 3D (or similar) is required.
Participants can bring along their own digital 3D models to import into the engine.
Bio
James B Stringer is an artist, developer and educator. He was creative director and co-founder of digital studio Werkflow, innovating real-time visuals for artists like Rachel Maclean, Actress, Nike and more. Recently he worked as technical lead on several Unreal Engine powered artworks by Libby Heaney, Keiken and Sidsel Meineche Hansen.
